Does dermaplaning make hair grow back thicker?
No. Dermaplaning does not change the structure, colour or growth rate of the hair. It may feel slightly different as it grows back because the hair has been cut, but it does not grow back thicker or darker because of dermaplaning.
Who is dermaplaning suitable for?
It can be suitable for many skin types, but your skin should always be assessed first. It may not be appropriate for active acne, certain inflammatory skin conditions or compromised skin barrier.
Does dermaplaning hurt?
No. Most clients find dermaplaning very comfortable. You may hear a gentle scraping sound as the blade moves across the skin, but the treatment should not be painful.
Is there any downtime?
There is usually little to no downtime. Your skin may appear slightly pink immediately afterwards, but this generally settles quickly
Can I have dermaplaning if I have sensitive skin?
