Microdermabrasion

At Aesthetics Fifty Five we use the professional Diamonds on Demand Microdermabrasion system.

Diamonds on Demand is a controlled diamond-tip microdermabrasion treatment designed to gently resurface the skin, removing accumulated dead skin cells and revealing a smoother, brighter complexion.

It can be used as a standalone treatment or incorporated into a bespoke facial, depending on the client's skin condition and goals.

Benefits include:

• Smoother, softer skin

• Brighter, more radiant complexion

• Helps improve uneven skin texture

• Refines the appearance of pores

• Helps with superficial congestion

• Encourages skin renewal

• Creates a smoother surface for skincare products

• Can help makeup sit more evenly on the skin

Ideal for: dull, rough, congested or uneven-textured skin, particularly when the client wants a refreshed complexion with minimal downtime.

How it works:

A diamond-encrusted tip gently exfoliates the surface of the skin while controlled suction removes the loosened dead skin cells. The level of exfoliation can be adapted to the individual's skin and treatment goals.

FAQ's

Is microdermabrasion suitable for all skin types?

Microdermabrasion can be suitable for many skin types, but it isn't appropriate for every skin condition. Your skin will be assessed before treatment to determine whether it is suitable and how much exfoliation your skin can tolerate.

Does microdermabrasion hurt?

No. Most clients describe the treatment as comfortable, with a gentle exfoliating or scratching sensation and light suction.

Is there any downtime?

There is usually little to no downtime. Your skin may appear slightly pink or feel warm immediately afterwards, but this generally settles relatively quickly.

How often should I have microdermabrasion?

This depends on your skin and treatment goals. Your practitioner can recommend an appropriate treatment schedule following your skin assessment.

Can microdermabrasion help acne?

It may be beneficial for certain types of congestion and superficial acne-related texture, but it isn't suitable for actively inflamed or severe acne. Your skin should be assessed first.
